Rusta announces that all vital parts of the company's IT systems, which have been affected by operational disruptions following the incident at hosting provider Tietoevry on January 20, 2024, are fully restored and operational as of yesterday, February 12, 2024. Rusta's website is now available in all markets and the e-commerce is expected to be resumed during the week. The financial effect of the operational disruptions is not expected to deviate materially from what has previously been communicated. Rusta is currently estimating the expected financial effect of the operational disruptions in the company’s fourth quarter. Rusta expects that the operational disruptions will not have material financial impact on the company beyond the fourth quarter of 2023/2024.
As a result of the operational disruptions at Tietoevry that have affected Rusta’s IT systems, Rusta provides the following update on the current status of its operations:
- Rusta's IT systems have successively been restored and deployed over the last two weeks. Rusta has succeeded in rebuilding damaged systems and have recovered all vital data.
- Rusta's supply chain systems have been operational with full functionality for a week. The availability of goods for the crucial summer season is not affected by the operational disruptions.
- Rusta’s website is available in all markets and the e-commerce platform is expected to be deployed during the week.
- Functionality and capacity in the checkout systems in Rusta's stores are restored to normal.
- The store opening in Sala can be carried out on March 20 according to the initial plan, as the supply chain systems are now fully functional.
- The financial effect of the operational disruptions is not expected to deviate materially from what has previously been communicated. Rusta is currently estimating the expected financial effect of the operational disruptions in the company’s fourth quarter. Rusta expects that the operational disruptions will not have material financial impact on the company beyond the fourth quarter of 2023/2024.
